Inspired by emotion, sound, rhythm and movement; contemporary artist Dawn Rudd creates with passion and abandon. She is an abstract expressionist, an action painter using bold splashes of color and intricate layering of materials to create powerful and thought provoking paintings and collage. Dawn is a synesthete, seeing sound as color, pattern and light; this special sight informs her artistic practice. She attended Parsons School of Design in New York City before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area. Her eclectic body of work is a kind of visual diary exploring themes of memory, spirituality, dreams and nature. Dawn's work can be found in collections throughout the United States.
